The upgrade tree looks great, but eventually, you’ll find yourself wondering which “upgrade” to pick. Those are pretty interesting to begin with, but eventually just become boxes to tick off. Other than that, you have your regular Tombs and Crypts for items and stat boosts. I'm not exaggerating here, literally the only difference is that you can now hide inside wall plants and you can apply mud to your face to increase stealth. There’s not much to say in terms of gameplay if you’ve played Rise of the Tomb Raider, you’ve pretty much played Shadow. They even went on to include an Uncharted-style childhood sequence.
